Compassion Haiku is a source book of inspiration and practices to develop self-compassion and compassion for others. Created one day at a time over the course of a year, these daily reflections combine the experiential impact of haiku with thoughtful commentary. Through this unique format the reader is encouraged to reflect on and experiment with practical ways to grow their own capacity for compassion.
Karl Grass is a practicing Buddhist adn currently works as an executive coach with clients domestically and internationally. He has been a member of the Hudson Institute of Coaching leadership team and helped facilitate their LifeLaunch™ program. Previously he served as a general manager of various software organizations ranging in size from $25 million to more than $250 million. Along the way he has also been a partner in Arthur Andersen and a co-founder of a software start-up.
When not coaching or writing he is an avid long distance sea kayaker and bicyclist. At this point in time he has successfully kayaked the 271-mile Everglades Challenge, completed various kayaking expeditions in and around Lake Superior and the Everglades, and has finished eight 100-mile century rides.
