Original full leather boards, rebound with new spine , original red leather label with 'Brief Conceit in gilt to spine , gilt decorative border to front and back board, crowned heraldic frame and crest with motto 'Honi soit .' to front, marbled epps, 120pp, lightly foxed throughout, front board stands a little proud and the book won't close flat without pressure, corners rubbed. Although the title ends 'debated and discussed by William Shakespeare' the original text was written by William Stafford and John Hale, with Sir Thomas Smith as creator, overall a very good copy of this scarce book.
