N.p. (over 200 pages) + 1 engraved plate (folding frontispiece showing the skeleton). An alphabetical encyclopedia of several hundred veterinary terms, ailments, cures, etc. The subtitle continues, "Also, a short description of the anatomy or structure of the eye, the foot, and other important parts of the horse. With practical observations on his diseases, as well as those of other domestic animals." A very nice copy, though of uncertain veterinary value, based on White's many earlier writings (Smith, The Early History of Veterinary Literature, 3:90ff). Can be sent outside the US for less than the default shipping rate. Hardcover (old marbled boards, half leather, rebacked and rehinged; spine and spine label stamped in gold) Second edition, "greatly enlarged" (1st pub. 1817).
