This copy lacks the frontispiece portrait of Wilson described in Neville (II, p 633; first edition of this book pub. 1699), also described by Young (II, p 553) but conforms fully in all other respects: The Appendix, which first appears in this edition, describes the authors experiments on the transmutation of metalson 11 December 1688, a mad Mob taking me for a Conjurer, or something worse, broke my Glasses and Athanor, saying I was preparing the Devils Fireworks, purposely to burn the City and White-Hall. Cont. binding, rebacked w/cont. label restored; Int VG but bound tight on inner margins.
