BRAD MINER, a novelist, journalist, and biographer, is the executive editor of Bookspan s American Compass Book Club. A former literary editor of National Review, Mr. Miner is the author of several books, including The Concise Conservative Encyclopedia and the National Review College Guide. He grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and now lives in Pelham, New York, with his wife and two sons.
