London. Elliot Stock, 62, Paternoster Row, E. C. [n.d., but 1880]. [i-v], vi-x, [16], [1]-246 pp. Duodecimo (6 x 3 1/2). This is the third Stock facsimile, without a publication date on the title page. It includes a facsimile of the 1653 title page. Six engravings of fish in the text. You can check out Rodolphe Coigney's bibliography on Walton and his description of this book on pages 92-93, 102-103 for a consummate distillation on its publication. There's a nineteenth century wet fly laid-in the book. The book is bound in contemporary full brown morocco with yapped edges and the letters "IZ WA" in gilt on the front cover, with slender red silk ties. A little foxing to the preliminaries, and there's a small St. Charles College library label on the front end paper. Very good.
