John Kresse retired from coaching in 2002 after a 38-year career that included 560 wins in 23 years as head coach a the College of Charleston. Previously, Kresse assisted National Basketball Hall of Famer Lou Carnesecca during two separate tenures at St. John’s University, wrapped around three seasons with the New York Nets of the American Basketball Association. At his retirement from Charleston, Kresse has a .797 career winning percentage and was second-best among active NCAA Division I coaches.

Richard Jablonski is a research associate in the Department of Library Science and Informatics at the Medical University of South Carolina, and a freelance television producer and journalist. In his spare time, Jablonski volunteers as an assistant coach of the girls’ varsity basketball team at Stratford High School.
