Full original leather binding in good condition, has been re-blacked at some time, minor rubbing edges/covers, part cracking down centre of spine, but holding solidly. Contents mostly very good, clean and tight, owner name inside front cover, minor ageing/foxing to some page edge areas, pages are not numbered, but many hundreds. looks complete with blank end page front & rear, starts with illustrated frontispiece (of Cruden) + Title page. A 1769 3rd edition with some improvements + 1761 dedication to the King + 1737 dedication to the Queen + 1737 Preface to 1st edition & 1761 Preface to 2nd edition, before the start. Alexander Cruden's Concordance is the most famous Concordance ever published and most likely the most-used, the most frequently reprinted concordance of all time. In fact it is now quiet rare to find a pre 1800 copy, let alone this 3rd edition which was also published during his lifetime (Alexander Cruden, 1699-1770) in a decent condition.
