Complete Cut and Engraved Glass of Corning (New York State Series)

Invaluable for the collector, curator, and dealer alike, The Complete Cut and Engraved Class of Corning brings to the field of glass collecting a rich storehouse of detailed information from unpublished original catalog material in the Corning archives, including long-lost pattern identification.

A priceless aid to identifying pieces of cut or engraved glass, this classic edition takes a comprehensive look at the companies, craftsmen, and techniques that made Corning the country's largest and most prestigious producer of cut and engraved glass at the beginning of the twentieth century.

The Complete Cut and Engraved Class of Corning has been updated to reflect the present-day locations (museums or private residences) of the pieces illustrated. The Afterword describes the cutting and engraving of glass in Corning during the last twenty years.
