Item description from seller

Third 1856 edition hardcovers (two volumes, German-English and English German) with good pages (mild foxing, lower corners of volume 1 watermarked), good hinges (secure, although the first few and last few pages of volume two adhere to the covers, rather than the block of pages), and fair-minus exterior (well-worn with the boards exposed along the edges, and small pieces of the leather spine ends of volume 2 are missing, although the leather is not flaking apart). 1655 + 1273 pages. [8.7 lbs].

Store description

I started selling used books in 1985 in Davis, California, and online in 1998. I enjoy the process of using language to fully describe the advantages and blemishes of each book. Language can capture details that a photograph might miss, but if you are visually-oriented, I am happy to send a photo--please include your phone number, since it is easier to send a picture via text than email. I am of "mature" years, but will continue to sell books as long as I am able: I enjoy it too much! I am a mere temporary custodian, sending each book to its ultimate shelf--the one where it is appreciated the most.…
