Introduction by John McDonald. Illustrated by Robert Ball. The book is divided in to two parts: The Notes of Theodore Gordon and The Letters of Theodore Gordon. A seminal book for the thoughtful angler who would like to know that once, long ago, fly fishing was a simple, elegant sport, without the need or desire for today's extravagances. The book is bound in two-tone brown cloth with gilt titles on the spine. It has Robert Ball's Illustrated end papers. Brown cloth slipcase with titling label on the side panel. A handsome book. Fine in a fine slipcase.
