Reviews
Despite its title, this has little to do with "decorative landscaping" and is by no means "complete." Instead, it is a fairly basic manual on masonry construction, covering simple walls, walks, driveways, and similar outdoor projects. A series of seemingly tacked-on chapters toward the end of the book address such unrelated topics as the refacing of fireplaces, the waterproofing of basements, and the author's experience rehabbing an old house. This slapdash approach extends to other sections of the book, which are only marginally effective at relating explanatory text to the separately placed project sequence photos. Offering no more masonry how-to than the average general home improvement manual, this is not recommended.
