Once applied to the glass, the wet paint is patterned and manipulated using a variety of color shapers. Twelve glass projects include bowls, candy dishes, decanters, and platters. The author is director of the Decorative Painting Certificate Program at the Rhode Island School of Design, and she teaches courses at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Her work is recommended for large arts and crafts collections, but for smaller collections, Gear and Freestone!s The Complete Guide to Glass Painting offers a more comprehensive approach. They cover a wide variety of paints and tools, including the use of moulds, etching, gold leafing, and embedding.
