About the Author
Todd Brakke has been around PCs since he was tall enough to tug on his dad's pantleg and ask how to boot a Star Trek game on the family Apple II. Since then, he grew (physically, anyway) and went on to be a published reviewer, columnist, and editor for various online and print PC game publications. After helping lay the groundwork for the dot-bomb implosions as the editor-in-chief of a PC gaming Web site, he became a development editor for a major computer book publisher. There, among many other projects, he helped develop the first edition of Terry Ogletree's The Complete Idiot's Guide to Creating Your Own CDs while also penning several articles for Computer Games Magazine (formerly Computer Games Strategy Plus). For this second edition of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Creating Your Own CDs, Terry has enticed (i.e., bribed) him to step out from behind the curtain to help co-author the book.
Terry W. Ogletree currently works as a technical consultant for The Computer Merchant. He has worked with computers for more than 20 years. Terry has thoroughly trained and worked with OpenVMS, UNIX, and TCP/IP platform systems. He has also had extensive experience with all flavors of Windows NT. He is the lead author for Upgrading and Repairing Networks, Third Edition, Windows XP Professional Unleashed, and Practical Firewalls (Que).
