Praying the rosary is near and dear to many Catholics, but most do not realize all the changes that Pope John Paul II recommended in the rosary.
In The Complete Rosary, eminent liturgist William G. Storey presents the full scope of the Pope’s reforms. They include a “focus” scripture text for each mystery, the five new “luminous” mysteries, short “scripture tags” for each Hail Mary, closing prayers, and images. The purpose of this material is to make the praying of the rosary a rich, contemplative experience rather than a mechanical recitation of rote prayers. Also included in this book is a history of this great devotion.
