In 1949. he was awarded the Special Selection Wajiro Jusho at the Nitten Exhibition. 1962 Awarded by the Minister of Education. 1963 Japan Art Academy Award. Member of the Japan Art Academy in 1973. 1977 Director of the Nitten. 1981 Awarded Cultural Merit. 1984 Cultural Medal. Passed away in 2003 at the age of 90.
