The Complete Works of E.M. Bounds On Prayer: Vol 1 (Sea Harp Timeless series)

The original, unedited text – beautifully designed in an easy-to-read format.

“We do more of everything else than of praying.”

In the Church today, there is a growing unspoken belief that God is silent, that efforts to communicate with him are contrived, naive and—perhaps most of all—futile.

In this collection of his early books, E. M. Bounds speaks to the enduring power of prayer—as the pathway to personal connection with God, as the means to experience abundance, and as the very instrument that is capable of changing the world.

Edward McKendree Bounds (1835-1913) was an American author, attorney, Civil War army chaplain and Methodist preacher. Of his 11 published books, nine of them focused on prayer — an act that he believed was central to the heart of a believer, and therefore one that should be consistently learned and practiced. Bounds devoted countless hours to personal prayer, and these books are the overflow of his experience, heart and faithfulness.

The Complete Works of E. M. Bounds on Prayer Volume I includes Power Through Prayer, Purpose in Prayer, Prayer and Praying Men, and The Possibilities of Prayer. Through Bounds’ passion and expertise, the reader will discover:

• How prayer can transform people and the world
• The purpose of individual, private prayer
• The centrality of prayer to spiritual health
• How God’s promises are fulfilled through prayer

In these pages, readers will encounter a sincere and unwavering belief that anything is possible through prayer and an infectious devotion to prayer as the means to true and lasting transformation.
