The Complete Works Of E.m. Bounds On Prayer

The original, unedited text – beautifully designed in an easy-to-read format.

“The story of every great Christian achievement is the history of answered prayer.”

Christian prayer often lacks true conviction, an honest belief that these quiet utterances can contribute to advancing God’s Kingdom, releasing power, goodness, and peace into a broken, weary world.

In his later books devoted to the subject of prayer, E. M. Bounds contended that prayer is “the greatest work” of the believer, “the battlefield of the Church,” and “the mightiest agent to advance God’s work.”

Civil-War-era Methodist pastor, Edward McKendree Bounds (1835-1913) was an unrivaled expert on the subject of prayer, with nine books to his name published on the topic. The latter part of Bounds’ life was devoted to rising before dawn each morning to pray before writing the words found in these pages. This collection of books is a product of his personal commitment to, and steadfast belief in, prayer.

The Complete Works of E. M. Bounds on Prayer Volume II includes the books: The Reality of Prayer, The Essentials of Prayer, The Necessity of Prayer and The Weapon of Prayer. Through practical and insightful thoughts, Bounds explores how prayer can:

• Cultivate deeper intimacy with God
• Produce tangible results
• Foster Christian values
• Overcome Satan’s hold
• Activate the Holy Spirit

For the doubting believer, Bounds’ passion and wisdom are a breath of fresh air, a call to arms and an invitation to collaborate with Christ in bringing the Kingdom of God to a world in need.
