Volume 1 of 2 volumes is described as "The Definitive Collection of America's Master of the Short Story." last year on the copyright page was 1953 although many of the stories had been copyrighted before that. Among other things, O.Henry was known for surprise endings in his stories. jacket shows some nicks, bruises and small tears. Dark boards with an orange spine. Titles of all of the stories in Volume 1 can be seen in the two photos. No price on the jacket so I'm wondering if this could be a book club edition.
