Complete set of this very scarce only comprehensive edition of the Works of Sinclair Lewis. Bound in the original two tone boards with glassine dustwrappers. Books are unused and come in the publishers Origano 2 shipping boxes.The first 23 volumes contain all of Lewis published Works. The final volumes includes uncollected material, smaller works and his Nobel Prize acceptance speech. The Japanese Publisher Rinsen specialized in high quality reprints of the works of American authors from the first half of the 20th century. Due to unfavourable exchange rates in the 1980s, very few of these expensive sets were ever exported from Japan.Print runs were small, usually limited to only a few hundred sets.
