Includes 21 photographs and illustrations protected with tissue, including frontispiece from Act III, Scene 4 of Macbeth, and photographs from contemporaneous theater productions, including a photograph of Sarah Bernhardt as Hamlet. Volume 7 only, with Timon of Athens, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, and Hamlet. Half-morocco leather binding with marbled boards to match green and brown marbled endpapers. Gilt lettering and decoration on spine. Leather scuffed at spine and corners. Marbled paper boards lightly worn at edges. Interior in very good condition, with just a few pencil notations on flyleaf. Page fore-edges are deckled, top-edges are gilded. This 7th volume of a ten-volume set is from the fourth edition, printed circa 1880.
