A Comprehensive Guide To Lead And Rhythm (Paperback)

(Music Sales America). From James Burton to Albert Lee, Brent Mason and beyond, the real sound of country guitar is taught here by Lee Hodgson, one of today's most sought after players. Whether you're a pro eager to add to your stylistic and technical abilities, or a newcomer who's drawn to that clean, twangy guitar sound, this book has something for everyone. As well as more than 150 licks, solos and backing tracks, all written out and demonstrated on the accompanying CD, the book offers practical advice on playing lead and rhythm guitar and enlarging your chord vocabulary. You don't need a hat, just your guitar and a passion to play some "hot country!"

Lee Hodgson is the resident country-rock and fingerstyle guru at the Guitar Institute in London. Although a renowned Country player, he is a superb all-round guitarist, having turned professional at the age of 18. He writes monthly columns in Guitarist and Guitar Techniques magazines as well as gigging regularly with top country band Memphis Roots.
