The above two approaches allow molecular biologists to use both gene expression data and three dimensional folded protein structures to efficiently predict or validate potential protein- protein interactions.

About the Author

Panagiotis Dafas holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from City University where he worked as a research associate in the fields of Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning and Bioinformatics. His work has been published in major journals, books and refereed conference proceedings. He is currently a senior quantitative researcher at Aspect Capital.
