Computer Literacy BASICS provides an introduction to computer technology and concepts. It provides thorough instruction on the various uses of the computer, important accessories, networking principles and covers key applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications. In addition, Computer Literacy BASICS covers e-mail and Internet principles such as managing e-mail and contacts, searching for a topic online, and how computers affect every day life. Strong end-of-chapter exercises and review material reinforce important topics covered in the lesson and allow students to demonstrate their knowledge of the material.

Ann Ambrose is Dean of Business, Public Services & Technologies at Tide Water Community College in Portsmouth, Virginia. Her previous positions at the school include: Professor of Business, Director of Continuing Education, and Academic Division Chair of Business, Mathematics, Natural Science and Nursing. In addition, she has authored various publications on computer applications, including IC3 BASICS: Internet and Computing Core Certification. Ann holds a Master of Science degree in Vocational Education/Administration from Virginia Tech.
With over forty years in education at both the high school and university level, Dr. Donald Bushe, Ed.D, brings a wealth of experience to his writing. Currently, he is a part-time instructor at Saddleback Community College and J. Serra College Preparatory High School in Southern California. A life member of the California Business Education Association. He is also acting Chair for the Foundation for the Advancement of Business Education, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to students hoping to attain a career in business.
Connie Morrison has over 30 years of combined experience in education and educational publishing. She has taught students at all grade levels from elementary through college, and she has trained employees in industry. Connie currently works as an education consultant for Encore Training, Inc., providing staff development and training for educators.
