Computer Science Students Handbook for a Typical Nigerian University: A Computer Science Minimum Academic Standards

In keeping with NUC’s mandate of making university education in Nigeria more responsive to the needs of the society, the National Universities Commission commenced the journey to restructure the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standard (BMAS) in 2018, introducing in its place, the Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS), to reflect the 21st Century realities, in the existing and new disciplines and programmes in the Nigerian University System. The academic program for students of Computer Science in this students’ information handbook offers to meet the CCMAS set by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for B.Sc. Computer Science degree. Every student of B.Sc Computer Science Programme are necessitated to have a copy of the handbook in order to familiarize with the specifics of the curriculum, relevant information and other rules and regulations. This information handbook can be updated in line with the NUC updates for University education and as approved by the senate of Plateau State University, Bokkos.
