Comrade Yetta

The novel follows the life of its protagonist, Yetta Rayevsky, a Jewish immigrant from Russia who becomes involved in the labor movement in New York City. Yetta experiences firsthand the harsh realities of working-class life and witnesses the exploitation of laborers in factories and sweatshops. Driven by a desire for social justice and equality, Yetta becomes an activist and organizer within the labor movement, advocating for better working conditions, fair wages, and the rights of immigrant workers. Along her journey, she encounters challenges, opposition from powerful interests, and personal sacrifices as she fights for the rights of the oppressed.
