Item description from seller

Trade Paperback. Plays. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. This long trade sized paperback book on stages in the theater is in good condition. The book measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 9 3/4 inches wide. The covers are blue and silver and the covers have minor wear around the edges and light curling of the front cover from bending back to read the pages. The spine is tight with little wear and no creases. The pages are white, shiny with little wear and no marks and offer many pictures and illustrations of various set designs and schools of thought on the subject. 11 chapters plus an extensive section of pictures and illustrations of costumes, sets and designs. The eleven chapters are: Comtemporary Stage Design; U. S. Stage Design past and present; The Designer and the Broadway Scene; Environmental Design; Designing for Resident Theaters; Designing Costumes; Notes on Designing Musicals; Designing Opera; Decor for Dance; Training the Stage Designer; and The New International Designer. The 90 pages of plates are fabulous and worth the price of the book. The book concludes with a catalogue of the exhibition, biographies, and picture credits. The book uses the English spelling of theatre throughout, but hey, I'm from Nebraska. 163 pages. Yes, we have theater (theatre, too) in Nebraska. CHEAP SHIPPING MEDIA MAIL.
