Now in its sixth edition, Concepts of Database Management will maintain the focus on real-world case exercises that made previous editions so effective, and incorporate all new scenarios to reflect the most common database issues faced today, such as database design, data integrity, concurrent updates, and data security. Special features include detailed coverage of the Relational Model, including Query-By-Example (QBE) and SQL, normalization and views coverage, database design, administration, and management, and more. With strong pedagogical features such as chapter summaries, review questions, and case exercises to reinforce critical concepts, and advanced topics such as distributed databases and data warehouses, this book will foster an in-depth understanding of database management that will prepare readers for success in their fields.
