About the Authors

Sebastian Haumann (Prof. Dr.), geb. 1981, ist Professor f�r Wirtschafts-, Sozial- und Umweltgeschichte an der Paris Lodron Universit�t Salzburg. Er ist Mitglied im DFG-Netzwerk �Stoffgeschichte� und promovierte und habilitierte an der Technischen Universit�t Darmstadt zur Geschichte des Kalksteins als Industrierohstoff.

Martin Knoll (Prof. Dr. phil.), geb. 1969, lehrt Europ�ische Regionalgeschichte an der Universit�t Salzburg. Seine Forschungssschwerpunkte sind Umweltgeschichte, Kulturgeschichte der Fr�hen Neuzeit, die historische Entwicklung der Stadt-Hinterland- Beziehungen und Tourismusgeschichte.

Detlev Mares (Dr. phil.), geb. 1965, unterrichtet Neuere Geschichte an der Technischen Universit�t Darmstadt. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Britische Geschichte, popul�re politische Kultur und Geschichtsdidaktik.
