By Reverend Charles Henry Wharton and printed in New York City by David Longworth. 1817, 5 segments of 40, 120, 96, 130 and 76 pp each, 8.75 x 5.75 , 8vo, rebound full leather. In good rebound condition, with minor rubbing and wear to boards. Hinges are tight and text block remains bound well. Light staining to corners of some pages. Light pencil marginalia at front. Some imprints from old flowers remaining on some pages. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece over debates and principles between Protestant and Catholic churches and denominations in the early 19th Century.
