When Marsh and Rippingale first published this book in 1964 the Conidae had not been extensively covered since 1884 and so it was a seminal work. This is a nice copy printed in 1968, unfortunately the dust jacket is missing but the book itself is in very good condition. The cover is only a little bumped at the front top corner, otherwise very good. Inside there is a mark on the front free endpaper where a sticker has been removed, and there is a little bit of tanning on the pages but it is very even, apart from which the pages are clean and unmarked throughout. The full page colour plates are really beautiful.

Store description
I will begin by saying that mine is neither a conventional bookstore nor a conventional business. I have been a great reader and learner all my long life and have acquired a substantial number of books, which I began to sell off in a small way when I moved to a flat about ten years ago - and now that I am even older I am having to move once again in the next year or so, this time into an even smaller flat in a retirement community. In short, my Abe membership is a consequence of too little space and way too many books... My collection is fairly eclectic and mostly derives from my various hobbies, notably malacology and crafting. However there are a few more general items as well, some already owned by me, but also for the last five years or so I have enjoyed scouting around in charity shops testing my ability to acquire interesting oddities that I think might sell well. I like to be meticulous in what I do, and with regard to the books that I have for sale you may be sure that they will be packaged and sent to you with care, should you decide to purchase an item. Please enjoy my inventory!…

Shipping terms
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Our standard overseas shipping rate is an automated default estimate of £4.10, which only covers lightweight, slim paperbacks under 500g.
As an independent bookseller, I clearly list the exact dimensions and weight of every book inside its individual Book Description. Before placing an international order, we kindly ask that you take a quick look at these details and do a small amount of research regarding actual UK postal costs. You can check live international rates directly on the official Royal Mail Website (https://www.royalmail.com/) to see what it costs to ship your item's specific weight overseas.
If you are purchasing a heavy book, a hardcover, or a multi-volume set, the real shipping cost will be higher than £4.10. Please contact us for a precise postage quote BEFORE purchasing. If an international order is placed for a heavy book without prior contact, we will issue a request for "Extra Shipping Charges" via AbeBooks. If these are declined, the order will unfortunately have to be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting an independent bookshop!
