The second printing of this posthumously published, Pulitzer Prize winning novel. _____ This was an unexpected best seller, so the first few printings were small in quantity._____ In fact the first printing was only 2500 copies. _____ In the first issue jacket, with the correct $12.95 price and only the Walker Percy blurb on the rear panel. _____ Beginning with the third printing the jacket would be changed to include a two-line Chicago Sun-Times blurb at the top of the rear panel. _____ The jacket is very lightly scuffed at the spine ends. _____ The spine titling was originally the same pale blue as the front cover title, but here has turned nearly white as seems to be usual with this title. _____ There is a 3/8" spot to the top corner of the page block with minor intrusion to the interior of 48 leaves. _____ Sadly, the book has a nasty 1" dent to the top edge of the front cover. _____ ._____.
