Printed for Alex Kincaid, His Majesties Printer. The leather bound book has heavy rubbing and scuffing to the leather. The front hinge is cracked in spots so the front cover's connection to the spine is tenuos. The hinge is still very much operational with a gentle hand. There are no owner's names or writing on the pages. The text pages are heavily foxed. and toned. There is a small section approximately 1" across and 5/8" of the leather missing to the top of the spine. the back strip is exposed here. The leather at the bottom of the spine is splitting. It is here at the bottom of the spine that the hinge split is most prominent. Note as described before this split is not yet contiguous. There is a 1-3/4" scuff to middle of the front board where the leather is raised. The rear panel has edge wear and a point where the leather is frayed off near the fore edge -about 1" and about 1.5" from down from the back top corner and across from the top corner as well. The end papers have an interesting border of toning squarely around the edges. It could be damp stain, but not likely since the text pages do not have this staining in the same pattern. This "frame-like" staining is at the front and back end papers. There is approximately a 2" tear in the free end papers at the bottom front end papers before the title page. Surprisingly, this book is still readable. However, it has to be handled with the utmost of care due its age. There are 546 pages. Pictures available on request. Serious inquiries only, please.
