The statistics are alarming and pastoral ministry is in a crisis. Mark Elliott bares his soul as he takes a brutally honest look at the real person we pastors are on the inside that few people ever know. Each page speaks to the honest confessions inside and draws out the hidden person in us all. This book is destined to set you free!
Dr. Elliott tackles such issues as emotional baggage, people getting on his last nerve, disillusionment, arrogance, messy motives, workaholism and his own battle with sin. When is the last time you heard a pastor confess his debilitating flaws? The transparency is refreshing, the honesty is startling, and the positive hope is life-changing. Every pastor needs to read this book and be encouraged and liberated. Every believer needs to read this book to get an insiders take on how to encourage and pray for their pastor. This is a MUST read for every Bible College and Seminary student serious about ministry.
