Issues 61 to 90 are of the 36th Congress, Second Session. Issues 91 to 96 are the Special Session of the 37th Congress, running fron March 4, 1861 to March 28, 1861. March 4th issue includes Abraham Lincoln's Inaugrual Address. Covers Feb. 18, 1861 plus the Appendix of the Second Session 36th Congress covering from Dec. 3, 2860 thru March 2, 1861. Covers the tumultuous period in American history when the Southern states seceded, President Lincoln was inaugurated, and the Civil War began. Large Quarto. 3/4 brown leather over marbled boards, gilt lettering nad decorations at spine. Very good, wear to leather, spine ends and corners slightly bumped, pages spotted and foxed in some places.
