In addition, each contributor is highlighted with an illustrated biography. The guest editors: Russell J. Blattner, Buford L. Nichols, Arnold J. Rudolph. Alan Frank Guttmacher (1898-1974) and Nichols contributed "Teratology of conjoined twins" [a history], followed by Guttmacher's "Biographical notes on some famous conjoined twins." A. A. Zimmermann, "Embryologic and anatomic considerations of conjoined twins" A. J. Rudolph, J.P. Michaels, B.L. Nichols, "Obstetric management of conjoined twins."
