Connect the Dots

This book of poetry guides you through the compounding environmental effects that family, religion, sexuality, and self-image yield on a person. It's raw, well-crafted, unique, and powerful.

Ryan McMasters is a Texas-born poet that started actively writing in 2011 after he graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Microbiology. Mic Check Poetry, a 501c, non-profit poetry organization in Bryan, Texas was the beginning of his poetic origin story. He self-published two books of poetry, Polarize in 2013 and Co. Lab Oration in 2014, was a semifinalist in Texas Grand Slam Competition in 2014, and was chosen to be Writing Director for Mic Check Poetry from 2014-2015. He co-edited the 2014 Mic Check anthology, Speak Or Be Spoken For. When he moved back to Pasadena, he grew in the burgeoning community of Write About Now. He became a member of Write About Now’s Inaugural National Poetry Slam Team of 2016. He has plans for another book to come in the fall of 2017, so keep your eyes open.
