About the Author

Dr. Dwight Perry, known for his straight-talk approach to ministry, oversees the Great Lakes regional conference of Converge Worldwide. Previously he served as Professor of Pastoral Studies at the Moody Bible Institute, as an executive with the Baptist General Conference and as senior pastor and associate pastor in several Illinois churches. Dr. Perry eared a Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He is author of several books including Breaking Down Barriers: A Black Evangelical Explains the Black Church (Baker Press), Building Unity in the Church in the New Millennium (Moody Publishers), and Turnaround: Renewing Your Organization from the Inside Out. Dr. Perry and his wife Cynthia live in Madison, Wisconsin. They have four grown children and four grandchildren.
