About the Author

I've known Professor Laurie and have been working with his students for nearly ten years. Having known many educators over the years, I've always found Tom to be way ahead of the curve in terms of having a genuine interest in the well-being of his students following their college experience. He has always prided himself on fully understanding the local business market and staying in touch with the attributes (both knowledge and soft skills) of what employers are seeking in new graduates. With this in mind, I fully endorsed the notion of Tom's creating this book and I've enjoyed the finished product.

Unfortunately there haven't been a great deal of quality publications that address the instinctive and intuitive aspects of a job search. The print and web publication world is full of fluff that doesn't resonate with the majority of the interested audience.
