Arem's CONQUERING MATH ANXIETY is a comprehensive workbook that provides a variety of exercises and worksheets along with detailed explanations of methods to help "math-anxious" students deal with and overcome math fears. The author offers tips on specific strategies, as well as relaxation exercises. The book's major focus is to encourage students to take action. Expertly constructed hands-on activities help readers explore both the underlying causes of their problem and viable solutions. Many activities are followed by illustrated examples completed by other students. This edition now comes with a "free" relaxation CD-ROM, and a detailed list of Internet Resources.
