'Presents a unique union of artists, offering as it does the matchless prose of Joseph Conrad, "incomparably the greatest artist who ever wrote a novel," illustrated by the sensitive perceptive woodcuts of Hans Alexander Mueller. In these woodcuts the publishers feel they have presented a perfect interpretation of the fluent chiaroscuro, the delicate nuances, the broad sweep of Conrad's writing. This is a magnificent record of Conrad's success. In it you will find those stories of the sea, intense mysterious, which have made the far reaches of the ocean and the distant shores of tropic islands a literary homeland for Joseph Conrad. Contains Youth; Heart of Darkness; The Nigger of Narcissus; Il Conde; Gaspar Ruiz; The Brute; The Secret Sharer; Freya of the Seven Isles; The Secret Agent; The Duel; Typhoon; The End of the Tether; The Shadow Line; A Personal Record.' x+713 pages. 8.75 x 11.55 inches.
