What is the role of sexual fantasies in daydream activity? What are the latest findings in the controversial area of parapsychology? How do drugs like marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol alter a person's consciousness? This book presents the most thorough and most current overview of the phenomena surrounding the realm of the psychology of consciousness available today.

Though comprehensive in nature, the book is accessible, enjoyable, and requires little prerequisite knowledge of psychology. Its neutral approach explores both sides of such controversial issues as the influence of consciousness-altering drugs, hypnosis, biofeedback, meditation, the physiology and psychology of sleep and dreams, sensory deprivation, and parapsychology. Psychologists, counselors, and educators.
