Excerpt from the Introduction by the poet: While watching the 2016 Presidential campaign, I was shaken with extreme agitation. This reality show didn’t even seem real! ... This incision-division continues to create a widening gulf between the people of our country. Even friends and families are polarized in the “who’s right and who’s wrong” political frenzy! ... What’s going on? How did we get here? Have I been asleep? This collection of prose and poetry motifs represent my journey searching for truth and, ultimately, discovering the beauty that can be found in change, not only politically but inwardly. I ask myself: What is freedom’s definition in these changing times? And what can I do to help ensure the freedoms we so cherish?
