Consider Jesus: Daily Reflections on the Book of Hebrews

Just when we think we have discovered all there is to know about Jesus, another world of God's grace often opens to us and we see things differently. God invites us to consider Jesus again, and again. Each change of need or circumstance in our lives is a new opportunity for Jesus to reveal himself in all his available fullness.

Donald R. Jacobs holds up the book of Hebrews like a mirror and shares daily reflections on how he lets Jesus speak in and through his life. Don's meditations, one for each day of the year, glimpse the way to the peace, power, hope, and healing of Jesus as he is revealed in this challenging and enigmatic New Testament book. Don urges readers to "consider Jesus" as the key to all of life.

Donald R. Jacobs served as a missionary in Africa from 1953 to 1973. During that time, he founded the Mennonite Theological College in Tanzania and later served on the faculty at the University of Nairobi. After his African ministry, Jacobs directed overseas programs for Eastern Mennonite Missions and then worked as director of the Mennonite Christian Leadership Foundation. Jacobs holds a PhD in religion and culture from New York University. His previous books include A Gentle Wind of God (2006) and Pilgrimage in Mission (1983).
