Holy Cross Abbey Library annotated to front paste down. Language: English. Book Condition> Poor: Very heavy wear to rear board corners and edges. Wear to upper front corner. Wear to spine ends with loss to loss spine repaired with new piece of leather. Leather peeling or lifting at edges. Wear and rubbing to board with cracked leather to rear spine edge. Rear board bound by all three binding strings and remains very firm. No pages prior to title page although page count back from first numbered page suggests all pages are present. Annotations to front and rear paste-down with names and dates to title page dated 1825 and 1809. Book worm hole / tunnel to upper fore edge of pages through to pages 1 to 58. It is losing so many immense and eternal treasures; - a loss so great, that, if the happy state of the blessed in heaven could admit of any such thing as grief, they would certainly regret to all eternity all those moments of the time of their mortal pilgrim age, which they had not employed to the best advantage; when they shall clearly see, in the light of God, what an immense increase of eternal glory and happiness they might have acquired by the due employment of all those precious moments".
