It is copy "No. 919" and has a table on the front paste-down for the name and occupation of the (presumed) employee to whom it was loaned. In its 138 pages, there are general rules, operating rules, time-tables and time rules (including watch inspections), lantern signals, engine whistle signals, engine and car lanterns and flags, movement of trains, superiority of trains, train order signals, forms of train orders, and many, many more. The book is in good shape generally, with some pencil markings, and has one light stain, perhaps tea. The final two blank pages have a doodle or two, as well as browning, with one having a vertical crease.
