See photos for condition details. Hardcover, brown cloth boards with gilt text on spine. Exterior shows spotting along with edge and corner wear. Spine has piece of black tape near bottom and edges are chipping at top and bottom of spine as well as exterior hinges. Interior binding is good and text pages are secure. Paper is toned due to age and foxing is present throughout with some pages being rather heavy and the end pages and pastedowns being the worst. Front pastedown contains the bookplate of Nathaniel Cox in the opposite end page contains Nathaniel Cox's signature along with an abbreviated Baltimore location. Nathaniel Cox was the Secretary of State of Maryland from 1854–1857 as well as a prominent attorney in the Baltimore area.
