Construction Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) Workbook

The Construction Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) workbook is designed for people who are new to the construction industry. It provides basic health, safety and environment steps that you and your employer should be following on your site. This is the official publication for CITB's Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) one-day course. It is a mandatory course publication – every delegate must have their own copy for the duration of the course.

At the beginning of each chapter there is a summary of what to expect at your site and from your employer and what is expected of you. Clear illustrations are included as well as practical guidance for construction workers, and also includes embedded, mandatory exercises that must be completed during the course.
