Consumed By Work, Neglect To Truly Live, The Dash

Consumed by Work, Neglect to Truly Live: The Dash is a powerful and thought-provoking journey into the life we often overlook, the one happening in between our deadlines, meetings, and professional ambitions.

In a world that glorifies hustle and productivity, this book is a sobering reminder of what’s truly at stake when we allow work to consume us: our health, our families, our faith, and the very essence of living. Drawing from personal experiences, spiritual insights, and cultural reflections, Dr. Michael Flavius challenges readers to reevaluate “the dash”, the short line between the date of birth and the date of death on a tombstone. That dash represents everything we lived for, everything we valued, and everything we either embraced or ignored.

This book doesn’t just diagnose the problem of overwork, it offers a path to healing. Through relatable stories and deep reflections, readers are invited to reclaim balance, restore purpose, and rediscover the joy of truly living. Whether you're a high-powered executive, a dedicated parent, a faith leader, or someone caught in the endless grind, Consumed by Work will stir your soul and inspire you to live intentionally, before the dash runs out.

Live fully. Love deeply. Work wisely. The dash matters.
