A young editor watches a mother feed her child to lions at a zoo and subsequently decides that witnessing the act brings her success in life. With a combination of absurdism and genre-crossing, these stories address disappearances, abandonment, childhood love triangles, and characters mutated by late-stage capitalism with all its shapeshifting environments.

About the Author

Blake Edward Hamilton holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Naropa University. His work has appeared in World Literature Today Magazine: Windmill, NPR, South Broadway Press, and Bombay Gin Literary Journal, among others.
